David Haight, a Port Angeles resident since 2007, has been a graphic designer for 35 years. He has designed everything from annual reports, billboards, corporate logos and advertising; even a dozen children’s album covers as well over the years.

In the last two years, after several bouts with cancer, he began producing art for himself. He has this to say about his approach:

“Unlike traditional collage, using found images from other people’s art or published imagery, I use my own.  Forty years of graphic design has left me with a rich library of images that I add to daily.

I dream about them, mix ‘em up, add pen, pencil, oil pastels, paints...and the result is before you.”
