Tom Stewart, the drum maker of Gallery Nine, is getting excited about four new drums in their finishing stages. A sneak preview of coming attractions!
From left to right: a Lacewood drum, an Ohio Wild Cherry bongo, a painted drum, and a Coco Bolo wood drum. The middle two will be finished and on display and for purchase at the gallery beginning on the Saturday, April 7, 2012 evening Art Walk. The outside two will be finished in time for the May Art Walk. That middle drum might look unusual – it’s a collaboration effort between Tom and painter Larry Eifert, featuring drumming ptarmigans, those odd little alpine mountain birds that sound like Tom’s drums.
Stay tuned to the blog for upcoming details of that painted drum. What a fun time with that one!
