Robin McKann’s New Work at Gallery Nine

For the month of June, Gallery 9 in Port Townsend is pleased to feature the custom furniture of woodworker, Robin McKann. Along with other fine furniture, Robin has built and installed a new sales counter for the gallery which is surely one of the finest pieces of art in town. This is a new and permanent installation, but is also a sample of what can be custom ordered.

This beautiful piece of furniture is constructed of locally-harvested Douglas-fir and rosewood. His signature roll-out pivot drawers take on a curved dimension in this amazing piece.

Other new work includes some of his garden or entryway benches, just in time for summer! This table is also in the show, a great example of Robin’s complex use of wood.

Along with Robin, Nancy Cherry Eifert’s photography spotlight springtime images of local wilderness from around the peninsula.

Come and meet the artists and view their new work during Gallery Walk, June 2nd, from 5:30 to 8:30. Gallery 9 is located at 1012 Water Street in Port Townsend, WA, and is open from 10 to 6 every day. For more information, please call 360 379-0703.
